Wakeman's House, Ripon

Description

Board-mounted photograph of the upstairs room of the Wakeman's House in Ripon (North Yorkshire). The building is timber-framed, and is believed to have been built during the 16th century. The photograph shows the beams of the timber-frame in the walls, wooden roof beams and a small (bricked-up) fireplace. This photograph is held with other mounted prints of Yorkshire vernacular architecture, at LAVC/ARC/3/8.
