Description

Contact prints of photographs taken during a Survey of Vernacular Architecture around Conistone ( Wharfedale), undertaken by students on the Museums Association Diploma Curatorial Course in Folk Life and Local History, hosted by the Institute of Dialect and Folk Life Studies (IDFLS) in July 1971. The prints include images of landscape and scenery around Conistone (12); walls and gates, including gate fastenings (7); stone barns and dwelling houses (8); a disused stone building and surrounding area with discarded paraphernalia, including a wooden trough and a metal can with handle (6); and a member of staff involved in the survey (1). The contact print sheet is labelled H, with subject Conistone and date 26.7.1971 in ms.
