Pace Eggers, West Yorkshire

Description

Copy of a photograph of a group of pace eggers performing in the open air at an unidentified location, probably in West Yorkshire. The players are all children (boys), and are all in costume. The Doctor wears a top hat and dark suit and carries a doctor's bag. Other players are dressed in costumes that consist of white tunics decorated with rosettes (apart from one who wears a black tunic), and a decorated head dress. In this scene, the Doctor takes a bottle from his bag, to revive a character [?St. George] who lies dead/dying on the ground, after having engaged in a sword fight.
