North Bar, Beverley

Description

Board-mounted photograph of the North Bar in Beverley (East Riding of Yorkshire). The bar is a medieval brick construction built in the 15th-century, and is the sole survivor of the four or five gateways built in Beverley in the late Middle Ages. This photograph is held with other mounted prints of Yorkshire vernacular architecture, at LAVC/ARC/3/7.
