This file contains items relating to the Open University post-experience second level course in Language Development, designed for in-service education of teachers. This includes an 'Introduction and Guide to the Course', prepared by Ross Fergusson (Milton Keynes: Open University, 1978), 28 pp., which explains the course materials, how to organise work, the academic content of the course, the production and development of the course and an appendix on using a tape recorder. It also includes 'Supplementary Material: Cassette Notes' 2 (Milton Keynes: Open University, 1979), 15 pp., with descriptions of exercises and transcriptions of recordings, with contributions from Pam Czerniewska, Stanley Ellis, Stewart Sanderson and Sally Twite.
