Description
Undated oil sketch by Edward Petre Novello, of a figure in medieval dress looking out of a window at a white bird on the right, perched in a tree. There is a vase on the windowstill on the left and the figure pushes away a red drape to reveal the scene. It is possbile that the painting represents an existing literary narrative.
