Description
Undated oil sketch by Edward Petre Novello, of a rural lanscape with six figures, some of whom appear to be soldiers and three of whom are mounted on horses. One smaller figure on the left holds the collar of a dog and there are two further unfinished dogs towards the right. It is likely to represent a biblical or classical narrative.
