Description
Undated oil sketch by Edward Petre Novello, of three figures standing in a rustic interior. The figure on the left appears to we wearing clothing of a higher social class, with an elaborate feathered hat. The central figure is barefoot and is wearing a dress and apron, while the figure on the right has stood from a chair to place their proper right hand on the shoulder of the central figure. It is likely to represent a biblical or literary narrative.
