Description
Undated and untitled oil sketch on board in which Edward Petre Novello depicts his own face in seven different expressions. The work is referenced in his sister Mary Cowden Clarke's memoir 'My Long Life: An Autobiographic Sketch' (1896), in which she mentions a painting of 'his own face, wearing various expressions', p. 103.
