Description
Highly pictorial 19th century engraved trade card of W. Harrison with large image depicting personification of Britannia standing to the left of oval panel inscribed with trader details. A paint palette is at her feet and palm branch curling upwards around panel. Trader details in a variety of typefaces with decorative flourishes. Remains of previous blue paper mount and glue present on reverse. Transcription: W. HARRISON. Plain & Ornamental SIGN Painter. Bromsgrove Street, BIRMM [BIRMINGHAM]. Plates written
