Sheep Washing: Outgang Beck
Description
Sheep washing on Outgang Beck at Thornton Rust ( Wensleydale). A farmer prepares to throw a sheep from the stone fold into the washpool. A second farmer climbs round the side of the fold in an attempt to stop a sheep escaping from the washpool over the dam. One of a strip of six contact prints. The contact prints of sheep washing on Outgang Beck were not originally held in the Photo File with the mounted sheep washing prints.
