Gathering Sheep for Washing: Outgang Beck
Description
Gathering sheep for washing in old sheep washing place on Outgang Beck at Thornton Rust ( Wensleydale). Two farmers, both with dogs, are seen undertaking the herding. The sheep are being driven into the small stone fold, or fa'd, on the edge of the washpool. One of a strip of 6 contact prints. The contact prints of sheep washing on Outgang Beck were not originally held in the Photo File with the mounted sheep washing prints.
