Photograph of a painting by Fred Lawson of sheep washing in Apedale Beck ( Apedale) ca. 1920. Mounted on Photo File card. With typed notes on sheep washing, including a passage quoted from the 'Morning Post' (1909), and a description of sheep washing in Keswick (Cumbria) from the William Hone's 'The Every-Day Book, and Table Book' (London: Thomas Tegg, 1826-1827). Originally held in Photo File: Sheep Washing.
