Mine Shaft: Stang Mines
Description
Entrance to mine shaft which drops 250 feet into the Stang Mines, Arkengarthdale. Two rungs from a ladder found in the shaft lie at the edge of the shaft entrance. Mounted on Photo File card with LAVC/PHO/P0925 and LAVC/PHO/P0926. With ms. notes. Catalogue details give geographic location as Gunnerside (Swaledale), but Stang Mines are situated at Stang (Arkengarthdale). Originally held in Photo File: Mining.
