Mallet for Stunning Pigs
Description
Male informant (probably Jack Lynas) with large mallet, or mall, used for stunning pigs, at Holgate Farm, Hurst Moor ( Arkengarthdale). The mallet was used in conjunction with an iron stunner held against the pig's head. Mounted on Photo File card. With ms. note compiled from information supplied by John Lynas (possibly same as Jack Lynas). Originally held in Photo File: Care and Management of Livestock.
