Pig Stool
Description
Wooden pig stool, or cradle, in barn at Holgate Farm, Hurst Moor ( Arkengarthdale). At the time of photographing, the pig stool was still in use for scraping pigs after slaughter. Mounted on Photo File card. With ms. notes on pig stools compiled from information supplied by Jack Lynas (possibly same as John Lynas) of Holgate Farm. Originally held in Photo File: Care and Management of Livestock.
