Pig Scraping
Description
Two male members of the Peacock family (butchers) scraping a pig carcass outside, Muker ( Swaledale), using metal candle-holders with sharp edges round the base as pig scrapers. One scrapes the back legs and feet, whilst the second scrapes the belly. Mounted on Photo File card with LAVC/PHO/P0590. With ms. notes based on information supplied by the Peacock brothers. Originally held in Photo File: Care and Management of Livestock.
