Cheesemaking: Turning the Curd
Description
Mrs. M. E. Scott turning curd pressed overnight and putting it into a dry cheesecloth to be returned to the vat and back into the cheese press, outside her home, West Stonesdale ( Swaledale). The curd will be pressed for two days. A number of empty cheese vats sit on the stone wall behind Mrs. Scott. Mounted on Photo File card. With typed note. Card 22 in a series of 27.
