Non-Institute Surveys
Description
The folklore, folklife and linguistic surveys represented in this subfonds were initiated and co-ordinated by research institutes, universities and individuals in Europe and North America. Items relate to the genesis and development of particular surveys and the questionnaires used to elicit information, project proposals and reports, and the representation of collected data in printed map form. Examples of published questionnaires and maps are also included in this subfonds. The dimensions and scale of the latter varies, as does the level of detail and explanatory information provided.
