Butter Churn
Description
Clay buttern churn, approximately 100 years old at the time of photographing, on a stone at Holgate Farm, Hurst Moor ( Arkengarthdale). This particular churn is smaller than most, suggesting that only a small number of cows were kept on the farm when it was in use. Informant: Jack Lynas. Mounted on Photo File card. With ms. note. Originally held in Photo File: Buttermaking.
