Description
This subseries contains items relating to aspects and types of folktales. The subject matter includes folk tales generally, Maori folk literature, African folktales, Gaelic storytelling and folktales, the transmission of folktales between communities, Frank Weatherill's account of the story of Fairy Cross Plain (North Yorkshire), a collection of stories by primary school children in Leeds, urban folklore and jokes and anecdotes.
