Description
This file contains items relating to a survey of children's stories, both written and oral, undertaken by Sydney Thomson at two primary schools in West Leeds in 1972. This includes a typed outline of her proposed thesis structure and ideas; 3 groups of ms. papers by 10- and 11-year old children at Armley Park School containing examples of dragon stories; 2 groups of ms. papers by 10- and 11-year old children at Armley Park School containing examples of association stories; ms. papers by 8- and 9-year old children at Royal Park School, containing examples of dragon stories and general stories; ms. papers by 9- and 10-year old children at Royal Park School, containing examples of association stories; and a photocopy of a typed paper outlining the social make-up and aims of Queen's Road C.P. Junior Mixed School (i.e. Royal Park School). File contents retained as found.
