This subseries contains papers on riddles, and their themes and variations, including a paper by Peter Nalder on the Archer Taylor riddle index, papers by Stewart Sanderson chiefly on Scottish riddles, and a photocopy of a collection of riddles and proverbs known as the Gregor-Crombie manuscript.
