French Folk Dance Group
Description
Group of French folk dancers from Meynes (Provence), performers of La Farandole, a traditional dance of Provence and Languedoc. The dance group are made up of children of various ages, dressed in white with coloured ties and sashes. They are accompanied by five adult males, four of whom also wear white costumes with black waistcoats, hats and bow ties (one wears a jacket), and carry large drums. Mounted on Photo File card. Originally held in Photo File: Traditional Customs, Annual Fairs, Bonfires.
