Description
The apostles are gathered in a semi-circle as Christ ascends to Heaven. Only his feet (showing the wounds), the hem of his cloak, and his footprints (or shadows?) on the rock are seen as he disappears into the cloud. Context: Breviary offices: Ascension: Primum quidem sermonem feci
