Needle Supports (Handknitting)
Description
Seven carved wooden needle supports from villages in the Eden Vale (Cumbria), including Appleby, Warcop, Kirkby Stephen (engraved with initials B.C.), Crosby Garrett (engraved with initials I.J.D.), Lambrigg and Penrith. The supports form part of the the Whitehead Collection at the Castle Museum, York. Mounted on Photo File card. With typed note. Originally held in Photo File: Knitting.
