Description
This file contains illustrations used by Stanley Ellis in conjunction with the Dieth-Orton Questionnaire as an aid to eliciting responses to Survey of English Dialects (SED) questions. It includes colour postcards, printed illustrations mounted on card, ms. drawings on blank postcards and a set of photocopies taken from these and other illustrations used by SED fieldworkers. It also includes a blank postcard with Ellis's ms. list of SED notions and question numbers. Arranged as found.
