Adoration of the Magi (fol. 79r)
Description
The miniature depicts the three Magi, represented as kings, approaching the Virgin and Child, and offering gold, frankincense and myrrh. The eldest king (Caspar) is kneeling in front of the Christ Child. Joseph, seated behind the Virgin in the stable, is taking off his hat. The town of Bethlehem is seen in the distance.
