This file contains photocopied and typed papers, produced and collected by Peter Millington, on mumming and mummers' plays, with particular reference to Nottinghamshire. (In the following list, a county designation has only been included for villages outside Nottinghamshire). This file includes a photocopy of Millington's typed description of his folk play indexing system; a copy of a typed list of known Nottinghamshire plays for further investigation and a typed list of locations of Nottinghamshire folk plays, including grid references (81 locations); a photocopy of Peter Millington's appeal for information on guysers and guysers' plays (ca. 1971?); a photocopy of an article on local guysers from the 'Eastwood and Kimberley Advertiser' (4 February 1972); a photocopy of typed information about Blidworth plough plays, a photocopy of ms. text for a Blidworth plough play recorded by R.
