This file contains Mats Rehnberg's pamphlet on holidays and annual festivals in Sweden (Stockholm: Svenska Institutet, 1964), [24] pp.; a photocopy of the guide to the Stone Collection at Birmingham Reference Library (i.e. the photographs of John Benjamin Stone); an ms. bibliography of the history and folklore of carnivals, compiled by Institute of Dialect and Folk Lief Studies (IDFLS) archivist Margaret Jackson; an ms. paper by J. R. Milneron the old customs of Heath (Derbyshire); a typed paper by George Taylor on laiking neets in West Yorkshire villages; typed and ms. correspondence from various correspondents to Miss Whatmore in response to an appeal for information on Mischief Night in the 'Yorkshire Post' (November 1962; January 1963; October 1968); and mounted newspaper cuttings from the 'Times Literary Supplement' and 'The Lady' on George Long's 'The Folklore Calendar' (London?: Philip Allan, 1970), and Michaelmas and names based on St. Michael. File contents retained in original classification order, and chronologically within this.
