Oatcake Making: Trolley and Hotplate
Description
Mr. Leslie Feather transferring a circle of oatcake dough from the trolley canvas onto the hotplate, in his shop, Haworth (West Yorkshire). The canvas belt runs on two rails and is controlled by an iron handle. Underneath the trolley, a leather belt runs over a roller which produces a jerk to dislodge the oatcake from the canvas belt onto the hotplate. Mounted on Photo File card. With ms. note.
