Description
This subseries comprises the correspondence of Stewart Sanderson during his appointment as Director of the Institute of Dialect and Folk Life Studies (IDFLS). The correspondence largely concerns the continuation of the Survey of English Dialects (SED) and its publication programme (including the Linguistic Atlas of England/LAE), and Sanderson's professional and research interests.
