Ropemaking: The Rope Walk
Description
Ropemaker, Mr. T. G. Outhwaite, unwinding cotton warp along a rope walk, Hawes ( Wensleydale). The warp is being laid out in two strands in preparation for twisting. Forks stand at intervals along the rope walk, over which the warp strands are placed to prevent them from becoming entangled. Mounted on Photo File card with LAVC/PHO/P1245 . With typed note.
