Description of Carolling Tradition
Description
Fieldnotes gained from visits to The Bridge pub in Penistone, and the Red Lion in Thorpe Hesley [November and December 1970 respectively], to record the local Christmas carolling tradition. There are written ms. notes in a spiral bound notebook as well as a typed up copy. They form a transcript of sorts, talking through the occurances of the two separate nights. They link to two audio tapes that cannot be traced. Also included are two copies of typed carol sheets.
