Baptism of Christ (fol. 109r)
Description
The miniature depicts Christ being baptised by St. John the Baptist in the river Jordan. Christ raises his hand in blessing. Two angels stand by him and hold his garments. The Holy Trinity is represented, with the dove and God both appearing above Christ. The border is formed from architectural pillars supporting two angels. Context: Prayers: Holy Trinity: Te invocamus te adoramus
