Draft Maps
Description
This sub-subseries comprises draft word maps compiled by Nathalia Wright, Clive Upton and Sue Powell for 'The Linguistic Atlas of England' (LAE). It also includes early draft maps by Harold Orton and David North; rejected LAE maps; and draft maps apparently rejected for inclusion in 'A Word Geography of England' but considered for the LAE.
