Club Nook Cottage: Crucks
Description
Pair of crucks inside stone cottage at Club Nook Farm, Barden Moor, near Drebley ( Wharfedale). Shows cruck fork with ridge piece resting in it. The crucks rest on top of a wall rather than starting at floor level. The cottage was formerly thatched. Mounted on Photo File card. Ms. catalogue details in the hand of Werner Kissling, including reference to a description of the cottage in items produced for the British Association Traditional Farm Buildings Excursion in 1967 ( LAVC/FLF/2/3/2). Originally held in Photo File: The Dwelling House.
