Annunciation to the Shepherds (fol. 34r)
Description
An angel, holding a scroll and announcing the birth of Christ, appears in the sky to two shepherds. One of the shepherds holds his staff, while the other kneels and shields his eyes from the brightness of the angel's glory. A flock of sheep graze behind the shepherds. There are trees and a river in the landscape. The border is decorated with a peacock, thistles, tulips, speedwells and acanthus leaves.
