Description
The roundel at the top left shows God creating Eve from Adam's rib (7). The roundel below it shows God instructing Adam and Eve beside the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. The roundel at the top right depicts the Temptation: a serpent offers a fruit to Eve (8). The roundel below it shows God upbraiding Adam and Eve, who kneel in short green skirts. A rinceau border with hairline tendrils holding golden ivy leaves and balls, and amongst them flowers and berries, including strawberries, daisy heads, roses, speedwells, grapes, pansies, poppies, redcurrants, and acanthus leaves.
