Description

The roundel depicts Angel Gabriel announcing the birth of Christ to the Virgin Mary (34). Gabriel holds a small golden cross. The Holy Ghost as a dove descends upon the Virgin. Mary kneels under a pink canopy, by an altar on which a book lies open. The roundel in the middle shows the murder of Julius Caesar by a sword (35).
