Gathering Sheep for Shearing: Apedale
Description
Sheep being driven from the Apedale fells towards a large stone sheep fold to await shearing, by a shepherd working with his dogs. Sheep dogs visible to the left and at back of herd rounding up the sheep, who have partially encircled a stone barn. Mounted on Photo File card with LAVC/PHO/P0711. Shepherd's command to the sheep dogs noted in ms. Card 5 in a series of 11. Originally held in Photo File: Sheep Shearing.
