Description
Response book recording the answers given by informants during the Survey of English Dialect. It includes 9 sections that cover a range of topics relating to work, domestic and social life. Answers are recorded in the International Phonetic Alphabet. Interviews have been carried out by fieldworker Donald Syes. There are four informants for this response book - Winter Richardson, Jack Hughes, Ernest Bronghall and George Davies. Their responses can be found in the following books: Winter Richardson - I, II, III Jack Hughes - IV, IX Ernest Bronghall - V, VIII George Davies - VI, VII The index for the response book can be found with book I.
