Description

This file contains large-scale photocopies taken from unidentified linguistic textbooks, probably used as visual aids in language-related teaching at the Institute of Dialect and Folk Life Studies (IDFLS). These include an A2 photocopy of p. 77 from an unidentified textbook, consisting of a representation of the first lines of John Milton's 'Paradise Lost', with rhythmical expression and cadences marked; and a photocopy of fig. 2 from an unidentified textbook, showing a cross-sectional diagram of the organs of speech.
