This file contains ms. notes on verses written following the Lofthouse Colliery disaster and their authors; a printed copy of Ephraim Mugglestone's poem, 'The Tragedy of the Lofthouse Colliery Disaster', and a printed copy of his poem, 'The Aftermath of the Lofthouse Disaster' (headed In Memoriam); a photocopy of George Wainwright's poem, 'The Lofthouse Disaster'; and a typed copy of W. Greaves's poem, 'The Lofthouse Pit Disaster' (all 1973). The file also contains a typed copy of a poem to Allendale [Town] by John Adamson Jr., 'Lines on Leaving Allendale' (1849). File contents arranged chronologically.
