Description

Response book recording the answers given by informants during the Survey of English Dialect. It includes 9 sections that cover a range of topics relating to work, domestic and social life. Answers are recorded in the International Phonetic Alphabet. Interviews have been carried out by fieldworker Peter Wright. There are four informants for this response book - Samuel Hill, Thomas Byass, George Blyth and William Moore. Their responses can be found in the following books: Samuel Hill - I, IV Thomas Byass - II, III George Blyth - IV, VII, VIII William Moore - V, VI, IX The index for the response book can be found with book I.
