Description
Response book recording the answers given by informants during the Survey of English Dialect. It includes 9 sections that cover a range of topics relating to work, domestic and social life. Answers are recorded in the International Phonetic Alphabet. Interviews have been carried out by fieldworker Peter Wright. There is one informant for this response book - William Wright - though it is noted that Robert Moore, Richard Salthouse and Robert Swarbrick supplimented answers at times. His responses can be found in the books below. The index for the response book can be found with book I. Location, biographical or phonetic notes will be shown either in the final notes section or within the book they appear in. Note that the different books sometimes overlap onto the same page.
