Description
Response book recording the answers given by informants during the Survey of English Dialect. It includes 9 sections that cover a range of topics relating to work, domestic and social life. Answers are recorded in the International Phonetic Alphabet. Interviews have been carried out by fieldworker John Wright. There are three informants for this response book - Frank Bucksey, William Blake and Alfred Jack Bower. Their responses can be found in the following books: Frank Bucksey - I, II, VIII, IX William Blake - III, VI Alfred Jack Bower - IV, V, VII The index for the response book can be found with book I.
