Description
Typed original and copy correspondence from Stewart Sanderson and other scholars relating to proposals for research into traditional culture on Tristan da Cunha (November 1961-February 1962). This also includes an ms. note added to the file by Sanderson (ca. October 1983) stating that the correspondence relates to a joint research proposal put forward when the Tristan da Cunhayans were evacuated from the island to the United Kingdom after the 1961 earthquake disaster. The file is arranged chronologically.
