Iunii Iuuenalis aquinatis satyra prima
Description
Decoration: Title and incipit words in rustic capitals in gold, blue and red. The 6-line incipit initial 'S' is in gold on green decorated ground. The text of the first page is presented as if written on a monument, on the edge of which two satyrs and a tortoise sit and make music. The base of the monument bears an empty wreath. Each satire begins with a heading and a 2-line initial in blue rustic capitals and the first word in red rustic capitals. Head titles in red are provided throughout. The scribe was Bartolomeo Sanvito from Padua. The margins contain signs added in red by a reader to mark certain passages. Written in humanistic cursive. Acquired 25 October 1921.
