Wordmap Series
Description
Photocopies of Sanderson's 'Wordmap' series of five short articles, as published in 'New Society', August-September 1978. The articles appeared shortly before the publication of 'The Linguistic Atlas of England' (LAE), and were probably intended to promote and publicise the atlas. Each article focuses on a particular phrase or word, and the responses received to that notion from the Survey of English Dialects (SED).
